Summary: This study aimed to compare secondary patient reported outcomes of perceptions of treatment success and function for patients treated for appendicitis with appendectomy versus antibiotics at 30 days. The overall findings showed high patient satisfaction, low regret, and frequent resumption of usual activities and return to work. No single measure defines success or failure for all individuals when comparing treatments for appendicitis.
