Generalized Affine Springer Theory and Hilbert Schemes on Planar Curves

Niklas Garner et al.

Summary: This article investigates the Hilbert schemes of planar curve singularities and their parabolic variants, interpreting them as certain generalized affine Springer fibers for GLn. By generalizing the affine Springer theory and Coulomb branch algebras, a rational Cherednik algebra action on the homology of the Hilbert schemes is constructed and computed in examples. The work is also inspired by a construction in 3D N = 4 gauge theory.

BFN Springer Theory

Justin Hilburn et al.

Summary: Given a representation N of a reductive group G, Braverman-Finkelberg-Nakajima have defined a remarkable Poisson variety called the Coulomb branch. The coordinate ring of this Coulomb branch is defined as a convolution algebra, using a vector bundle over the affine Grassmannian of G. We study the fibres of this maps, which live in the affine Grassmannian, and use them to construct modules for (quantized) Coulomb branch algebras. These modules correspond to boundary conditions for the gauge theory and have implications for various conjectures in the field.

Ribbon tensor structure on the full representation categories of the singlet vertex algebras

Monopole operators and bulk-boundary relation in holomorphic topological theories

Keyou Zeng

Summary: We study the holomorphic twist of 3d N = 2 supersymmetric field theories, discuss perturbative and non-perturbative bulk local operators for abelian gauge theories, and verify our construction by matching the character of the algebra with the superconformal index. We test a conjectural relation between the derived center of boundary algebras and bulk algebras, and discuss the presence of monopole operators in the derived center of a perturbative boundary algebra. We also briefly discuss the higher structures in both boundary and bulk algebras.

Boundary Chiral Algebras and Holomorphic Twists

Kevin Costello et al.

Summary: We study the holomorphic twist of 3d N=2 gauge theories in the presence of boundaries, and examine the algebraic structure of bulk and boundary local operators. Both bulk and boundary local operators form chiral algebras in the holomorphic twist. The bulk algebra is commutative and equipped with a shifted Poisson bracket and a higher stress tensor, while the boundary algebra is a module for the bulk, may not be commutative, and may or may not have a stress tensor. We construct bulk and boundary algebras for free theories and Landau-Ginzburg models, and boundary algebras for gauge theories with matter and/or Chern-Simons couplings, leaving a complete description of bulk algebras for future work. We also discuss the presence of higher A-infinity like structures.

Miura operators, degenerate fields and the M2-M5 intersection

Davide Gaiotto et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the mathematical structures that govern the Omega deformation of supersymmetric intersections of M2 and M5 branes. It is found that these intersections play a crucial role in the theory of W-algebras, including degenerate modules, the Miura transform, and Coulomb gas constructions. Moreover, an algebraic interpretation of the Pandharipande-Thomas box counting in C-3 is provided.

Supersymmetric ground states of 3D N = 4 gauge theories on a Riemann surface

Mathew Bullimore et al.

Summary: This paper studies the supersymmetric ground states of 3d N = 4 supersymmetric gauge theories on a Riemann surface. The different twists on the surface lead to two distinct spaces of supersymmetric ground states, which are described using effective supersymmetric quantum mechanics. The authors compute the ground state spaces for a large class of gauge theories and formulate the results geometrically using the Higgs branch geometry. Extensive checks of compatibility with the twisted index and mirror symmetry are also performed.

A taxonomy of twists of supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory

Chris Elliott et al.

Summary: This article provides a complete classification of twists of supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories in dimensions 2 <= n <= 10. The formulation of supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory is done using the BV formalism and an action of the supersymmetry algebra is constructed using the language of L-infinity algebras. A description of the corresponding twisted theory is given for each orbit in the space of square-zero supercharges in the supersymmetry algebra under the action of the spin group and the group of R-symmetries. These twists can be described using mixed holomorphic-topological versions of Chern-Simons and BF theory.

Nilpotence Varieties

Richard Eager et al.

Summary: This paper investigates algebraic varieties associated with Lie superalgebras, focusing on super-Poincare algebras. By viewing these varieties as natural moduli spaces for twists of super-Poincare-invariant physical theories, a classification of twists and analysis of unbroken symmetry in twisted theories is obtained. The paper also explores the application of pure spinor superfield formalism to construct familiar multiplets in four-dimensional minimally supersymmetric theories.

Rozansky-Witten geometry of Coulomb branches and logarithmic knot invariants

Sergei Gukov et al.

Summary: Studying Rozansky-Witten theory with non-compact target spaces has led to new connections with knot invariants and opened up new avenues in the field. These include a new formulation of q-series invariants of 3-manifolds in terms of affine Grassmannians and a generalization of Akutsu-Deguchi-Ohtsuki knot invariants.

Summary: This study constructs two non-semisimple braided ribbon tensor categories of modules for each singlet vertex operator algebra M(p), where p>=2. Summary: In the twisted M-theory setting, fusion of M2 and M5 branes induce coproducts between the algebra of operators on M2 branes and the algebra of operators on M5 branes. By perturbative computation in the gravity side captured by the 5d topological holomorphic U(1) Chern-Simons theory, non-perturbative coproducts can be reproduced.

Non-unitary TQFTs from 3D N=4 rank 0 SCFTs

Dongmin Gang et al.

Summary: A novel procedure is proposed to assign a pair of non-unitary topological quantum field theories to a specific category of superconformal field theories. The modular data of the non-unitary TQFTs are extracted from the supersymmetric partition functions in particular degenerate limits, leading to a lower bound on the round three-sphere free energy of T-rank 0. The bound is saturated by a minimal N=4 SCFT proposed by Gang-Yamazaki, with associated topological theories being the Lee-Yang TQFT.
