Summary: Based on the duality between Jackiw-Teitelboim quantum gravity and a double-scaled matrix ensemble, a study shows that the consistency between the two theories in the universal random matrix theory (RMT) limit imposes constraints on the volumes of moduli spaces of Riemannian manifolds. These volumes are solved in terms of the Weil-Petersson (WP) volumes, which are notoriously difficult to analyze. The results suggest a possible way of simplifying the construction of WP volumes and improving the understanding of mathematically hard aspects concerning moduli spaces of hyperbolic manifolds using universal RMT results.

Summary: In this paper, the authors study the impact of the integrable structure on the spectral form factor in two-dimensional gravity theories using the Euler gamma flow renormalization group method. They find that in the late-time, large double scaled limit, the integrable structure ensures an exponential growth of the spectral form factor as T2g+1 and convergence of the sum over genera, providing a perturbative approach to the late-time plateau. Throughout the study, various aspects of the integrable structure are clarified, including the role of ribbon graphs, intersection theory, and the relations with dilaton gravity and matrix models from a modern holographic perspective.

Summary: This paper studies the spectral form factor (SFF) of general topological gravity in the limit of large time and fixed temperature. The tau-scaling limit is observed to allow the summation of genus expansion of the SFF and analytical study of its late-time behavior. The author develops a technique for systematically computing higher order corrections to the SFF in the strict tau-scaling limit, obtaining closed form expressions for the first five corrections.

Summary: Recent work has shown how to obtain the Page curve of an evaporating black hole through holographic computations of entanglement entropy. The validity of these computations is justified using the replica trick and geometries with a spacetime wormhole connecting the different replicas. The Page transition is studied in detail in a simple model by summing replica geometries with different topologies. Related quantities are computed in less detail in more complicated models like JT gravity coupled to conformal matter and the SYK model. Additionally, a direct gravitational argument for entanglement wedge reconstruction is given using the explicit formula known as the Petz map, where the spacetime wormhole plays a significant role. The interpretation of the wormhole geometries as part of some ensemble average implicit in the gravity description is also discussed.

Summary: We discuss the second order formulation of JT gravity in AdS and dS space. For the pure dS JT theory without matter, we find that the path integral leads to the Hartle-Hawking wave function or transition amplitudes, which describe the creation of disconnected universes or the transition from contracting to expanding universes. These processes can be described by a hologram consisting of Random Matrix Theory (RMT) or SYK theory. In the presence of matter, we investigate the double trumpet path integral and propose a method to avoid moduli space divergence, allowing the system to tunnel from contracting to expanding phase with interesting scale-invariant departures. We also explain how suitable correlators can avoid divergence in moduli space and suggest that a hologram using SYK theory with additional matter could eliminate these divergences. Finally, we analyze the AdS double trumpet geometry and show that the divergence in moduli space cannot be eliminated by switching to the micro-canonical ensemble for the spectral form factor.

Summary: We formulated the path integral for Jackiw-Teitelboim gravity, studied the theory in AdS and dS space, and analyzed the behavior of path integrals in different topological cases. In the dS case, the path integral evaluated the wavefunction of the universe, while in the asymptotic AdS or dS limit, we obtained agreement with the first order formalism.

Summary: The study focuses on the multi-boundary correlators of Witten-Kontsevich topological gravity in two dimensions. A method called the 't Hooft expansion is introduced for computing an open string-like expansion of n-boundary correlators up to any order, demonstrated by solving the Korteweg-De Vries equation. The algorithm for computing the 't Hooft expansion is similar to the genus expansion of the open free energy, and it is shown that correlators with more than one boundary can be algebraically computed from correlators with fewer boundaries.
