Global Stabilization for a Class of Switched Nonlinear Time-Delay Systems via Sampled-Data Output-Feedback Control

Jun Mao et al.

Summary: This article presents a stabilization achievement for a switched nonlinear time-delay system through output-feedback control under the sampled-data and global senses. An observer with the sampled output measurement is constructed to evaluate the unavailable states, and then a controller formed from the sampled observer states is given. The global stability can be ensured for the considered systems working under the time-varying delay case and the developed sampled-data controller with a switching restriction through a proof using a Lyapunov function candidate and a merging virtual switching signal.

Adaptive Control of Uncertain Nonlinear Time-Delay Systems With External Disturbance

Zhengqiang Zhang et al.

Summary: This article addresses the adaptive state feedback stabilization for delayed uncertain systems with external disturbance. A new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is introduced to present a memoryless control strategy for stabilizing nonlinear time-delay systems through a newly defined control gain function. The main contribution lies in the construction of control gain function, which ensures the asymptotic stability of the closed delayed nonlinear system. Simulation examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Adaptive Path Following Controller of a Multijoint Snake Robot Based on the Improved Serpenoid Curve

Dongfang Li et al.

Summary: In this article, an adaptive path following controller for a multijoint snake robot based on the improved Serpenoid curve is proposed. The controller enables the robot to follow a desired path with fast convergence speed and high stability. It can also estimate unknown friction coefficients, enhancing the robot's adaptive path following ability in an environment with unknown friction coefficients.

Adaptive Finite-Time Control Scheme for Teleoperation With Time-Varying Delay and Uncertainties

Haochen Zhang et al.

Summary: This article proposes a finite-time adaptive control scheme for the position and force tracking performances of teleoperation systems, addressing the issues of communication time delay and uncertain models of robotic manipulators. By introducing a combined auxiliary error system, a velocity feedback filter, and a new auxiliary variable function with a finite-time structure, the proposed scheme achieves control over position and force tracking. The effectiveness of the scheme is demonstrated through simulation and experimental studies using Phantom Omni devices.

A Data-Characteristic-Aware Latent Factor Model for Web Services QoS Prediction

Di Wu et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a data-characteristic-aware latent factor (DCALF) model for highly accurate QoS predictions. By appropriately implementing predictions based on the characteristics of given QoS data and detecting user and service neighborhoods and noises, the model outperforms existing QoS predictors and is highly competitive in the field of Web service selection and recommendation.

Reinforcement learning control of constrained dynamic systems with uniformly ultimate boundedness stability guarantee

Minghao Han et al.

Summary: This paper explores the use of reinforcement learning to analyze uniformly ultimate boundedness stability solely based on data, and demonstrates how it can be applied to control dynamic systems with safety constraints. The proposed off-policy and on-policy learning algorithms enable the learning of optimal controllers with UUB guarantee. Evaluations on robotic continuous control tasks show superior performance in maintaining safety compared to existing RL algorithms. Impressive resilience to external disturbances is demonstrated as a qualitative evaluation of stability.
