Event-triggered output quantized control of discrete Markovian singular systems

Yingqi Zhang et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the event-triggered H-infinity admissible analysis and controller synthesis for discrete delayed singular Markovian jump network systems with output quantizations. By utilizing the event-triggered communication mechanism and quantized control strategy, a singular network system model with network-induced delays is established, and sufficient criteria are provided to ensure the stochastically H-infinity admissibility of the singular stochastic network systems. Moreover, through variable separation and matrix decomposition techniques, the output quantized controllers and event-triggered matrices are cleverly co-designed to achieve the stochastic H-infinity admissibility of the singular network model. An example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Event-based finite-time H∞ filtering of discrete-time singular jump network systems

Yingqi Zhang et al.

Summary: This article presents the analysis and design problems of event-based finite-time H-infinity filtering for discrete-time singular Markov jump network systems based on separation of matrix inequality variables. Sufficient conditions of singular stochastic FT boundedness are obtained for the augmented SMNS model by introducing slack matrix variables. The co-designed EBFT H-infinity filter gain matrices and triggered ones ensure that the augmented SMNSs are singularly stochastic FT bounded with a prescribed performance index.

Two-Dimensional Asynchronous Sliding-Mode Control of Markov Jump Roesser Systems

Yue-Yue Tao et al.

Summary: This article investigates the use of asynchronous sliding-mode control (SMC) for 2-D discrete-time Markov jump systems. A hidden Markov model is employed to describe the asynchronization between the system modes and controller. A new 2-D sliding surface is constructed and an asynchronous SMC law is designed. The reachability of system dynamics to the sliding surface is investigated using Lyapunov function and linear matrix inequality approaches, and conditions for asymptotic mean-square stability and disturbance attenuation performance are established. An algorithm is provided to derive the asynchronous 2D-SMC law, and the validity and effectiveness of the new SMC law design algorithm are verified through an example.

Liang Zhang et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the asynchronous event-triggered state-feedback control for discrete-time nonlinear singular Markov jump systems subject to reachable set bounding and stochastic cyber-attacks. An event-triggered mechanism is introduced to regulate data transmission and save network resources. The secure asynchronous controller is designed to effectively resist the influence of attacks, and the reachable set analysis approach is used to ensure control error within the boundary.

Asynchronous Control of Two-Dimensional Markov Jump Roesser Systems: An Event-Triggering Strategy

Yue-Yue Tao et al.

Summary: This paper mainly investigates the event-triggered asynchronous control problem for two-dimensional (2-D) Markov jump systems (MJSs) with varying state delays. The asynchronous phenomenon that characterized by the mismatched modes between system and controller is treated with a hidden Markov model (HMM). An event-triggering strategy is adopted in controller design to reduce the burden of the communication network. The paper proposes linear matrix inequality (LMI) based sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability and H-infinity noise attenuation performance index. The paper also studies the event-triggered asynchronous control problem for systems without delays and the regular asynchronous control problem for systems with delays, which are special cases of the main problem. Finally, an asynchronous controller design algorithm is proposed and validated with numerical examples.

Asynchronous Control for Discrete-Time Hidden Markov Jump Power Systems

Subramanian Kuppusamy et al.

Summary: This article studies the stabilization problem of discrete-time power systems subject to random abrupt changes using asynchronous control. A hidden Markov model technique is used to characterize the nonsynchronization between the control and system, and sufficient conditions are obtained by constructing mode-dependent stochastic Lyapunov function, ensuring the stochastic stability of the resulting hidden Markov jump systems and the existence of the desired control. Simulation examples show the efficiency of the designed control law.

Nonsynchronous Model Reduction for Uncertain 2-D Markov Jump Systems

Ying Shen et al.

Summary: This article investigates nonsynchronous H infinity model order reduction for 2-D MJSs with model uncertainty, dealing with the nonsynchronization phenomenon between the original system and the reduced-order model under the framework of the hidden Markov model. Sufficient conditions for asymptotic mean-square stability and H infinity performance of the error system are analyzed and proposed. An efficient design method for nonsynchronous model order reduction is further proposed with the help of a projection lemma, with the correctness and effectiveness being verified through simulations.

Jun Song et al.

Summary: This article investigates the sliding-mode control problem for state-saturated systems over time-varying fading channels, utilizing a hidden Markov mode detector to estimate the actual network mode. The novel model of hidden Markov fading channels is shown to be more general yet practical than existing fading channel models. By exploiting stochastic Lyapunov stability and hidden Markov models, sufficient conditions are obtained for the SMC systems to ensure mean-square stability and reachability within a sliding region.

Summary: This paper addresses the issue of asynchronous finite-time filtering for Markov jump nonlinear systems with incomplete transition rate. By using mode-dependent Lyapunov function approach and matrix inequality techniques, interesting results are derived to verify the properties of stochastic FTBs and stochastic IO-FTSy of the asynchronous filtering error system. The asynchronous filter parameters can be simplified into solving convex optimization problems, and the proposed algorithms are illustrated using a single-link robot arm and a tunnel diode circuit.
