Nasal Reconstruction by Expanded Forehead Scalping Flap: Case Report with Literature Review

Mohammadhossein Hesamirostami et al.

Summary: Nasal reconstruction is a complicated and challenging surgery due to the three-dimensional structure of the face. Similarity of tissues, units-subunits, and invisible scars are crucial for successful reconstruction. In this case report, we describe the use of an expanded forehead scalping flap to reconstruct the subunits of the nose in a 12-year-old boy who suffered avulsion of the tip and columellar subunits due to a dog bite.
