Correction of Atmospheric Delay Error of Airborne and Spaceborne GNSS-R Sea Surface Altimetry

Zhengjie Yan et al.

Summary: This paper studies the influence of atmospheric delay in sea surface altimetry using GNSS-R by analyzing data from different platforms. By constructing an altimetry model and calculating the ionospheric and tropospheric delays, the paper finds that atmospheric delay has a significant impact on altimetry accuracy and proposes a method to calculate atmospheric delay through geometric relations. Experimental results show that accuracy can be significantly improved by correcting for atmospheric delay.

Improving the SSH Retrieval Precision of Spaceborne GNSS-R Based on a New Grid Search Multihidden Layer Neural Network Feature Optimization Method

Qiang Wang et al.

Summary: In this study, a new method called GSMHLFO is proposed for sea surface height retrieval using GNSS-R. The method combines a multihidden layer neural network, feature engineering, and a grid search algorithm. The experimental results show that GSMHLFO outperforms traditional methods in terms of retrieval precision. The method provides innovative theoretical and methodological support for the high-precision SSH retrieval of GNSS-R altimetry satellites in the future.

Improving the iGNSS-R Ocean Altimetric Precision Based on the Coherent Integration Time Optimization Model

Xuezhi Sun et al.

Summary: By constructing an analytical model and verifying it with experimental data, this study explores the impact of coherent integration time on altimetric precision and identifies optimal integration times for different scenarios. The model proves to significantly enhance altimetric precision, providing theoretical support for future signal optimization processing and sea surface height retrieval in high-precision iGNSS-R altimetry satellites with high along-track resolution.

Relationship Between Altimetric Quality and Along-Track Spatial Resolution for iGNSS-R Sea Surface Altimetry: Example for the Airborne Experiment

Zongqiang Liu et al.

Summary: The altimetric quality and along-track spatial resolution are critical parameters in interferometric global navigation satellite systems reflectometry (iGNSS-R) sea surface altimetry, and are closely related through signal processing time. Research shows that reducing along-track spatial resolution can improve altimetric quality, but the degree of improvement decreases as spatial resolution worsens.

Improving GNSS-R Sea Surface Altimetry Precision Based on the Novel Dual Circularly Polarized Phased Array Antenna Model

Zhen Cui et al.

Summary: Antenna is a key element of the GNSS-R system, with gain being an important performance parameter that impacts measurement accuracy. An innovative dual circularly polarized phased array antenna (NDCPPA) is proposed to improve sea surface altimetry precision without compromising coverage area. The NDCPPA model shows significant gain improvement compared to traditional element antenna methods, leading to enhanced altimetric precision.

Improving the Specular Point Positioning Accuracy of Ship-Borne GNSS-R Observations in China Seas Based on Comprehensive Geophysical Correction

Fan Wu et al.

Summary: This study uses ship-borne GNSS-R observations in China seas to correct the reflection surface by introducing MDT and DOV parameters, proposing a DOV correction positioning method. The accuracy of reflection surface modeling and specular point positioning is verified and analyzed, showing that MDT and DOV corrections can comprehensively improve positioning accuracy.
