Long-term post-fire resprouting dynamics and reproduction of woody species in a Brazilian savanna

Summary: Resprouting is an efficient life history strategy for woody savanna species to recover their aboveground biomass after fire. However, the dynamics of resprouting and flowering/fruiting production post-fire are still poorly understood, especially in the Brazilian savanna. Different resprouting strategies showed varying patterns of flowering and fruiting over time, with individuals in burned areas producing fewer flowers and fruits compared to unburned areas.
