Influence of the concentration of chenodeoxycholic acid on the performance of the N719 dye

Summary: The influence of CDCA on the spectroscopic and photovoltaic performances of N719 dye was investigated. CDCA was found to stabilize N719 dye and enhance its photoconversion efficiency. N719 dye with hydroxyl and carboxylic functional groups showed strong interaction and fast electron transport. The incorporation of CDCA resulted in a significant increase in photocurrent generation. However, higher concentrations of CDCA led to a decrease in photoconversion efficiency.

Numerical simulation of quantum dots as a buffer layer in CIGS solar cells: a comparative study

Summary: This study examines the impact of various buffer layers on the performance of CIGS solar cells through numerical modeling and experimental testing. The results suggest that buffer layers with wider bandgap and higher carrier concentration can improve the conversion efficiency and bandgap-CBO window. Furthermore, the optical-electrical characteristics of the buffer layer are critical in determining the progress of CIGS solar cells.

New systematic study approach of green synthesis CdS thin film via Salvia dye

Summary: This study aimed to increase the knowledge regarding the response mechanisms associated with the formation of CdS thin films. The Linker Assisted and Chemical Bath Deposition (LA-CBD) technique was presented as an efficient and novel hybrid sensitization technique for forming high quality CdS thin film. The CdS + MPA + Salvia dye films showed a homogeneous distribution of particles that were aspherical in shape. This technique significantly affected the electrical characterizations of CdS films after the annealing process.

An in-depth analysis of nucleation and growth mechanism of CdS thin film synthesized by chemical bath deposition (CBD) technique

Summary: The aim of this study is to gain a deeper understanding of the response mechanism involved in the formation of CdS thin films. A new hybrid sensitisation technique was proposed and its synthesis mechanism was described. Experimental results showed that this method significantly impacted the fabrication of high-quality CdS thin films.

Summary: This study aimed to enhance the understanding of response mechanisms in the formation of CdS thin films and its effectiveness as a buffer material for polycrystalline solar cells. Experimental and numerical simulations were conducted, revealing that different thiourea concentrations had a direct impact on the characteristics of the CdS buffer layer. Ion-by-ion mechanism played a significant role in the formation of CdS films, and the optic-electrical properties of the buffer layer greatly influenced the performance of CIGS solar cells.
