Design of ultra-high absorptivity solar absorber based on Ti and TiN multilayer ring structure

Pinghui Wu et al.

Summary: The goal of this project is to design a solar absorber with better absorption spectrum range and absorption. By adopting a TiN and Si3N4 laminated ring structure and adding two layers of Ti-Si3N4 film, the absorber achieves an absorption efficiency of over 90% and an absorption bandwidth of over 2450 nm. The proposed solar absorber also exhibits strong stability to angular polarization and maintains a high absorption rate even at an incident angle of 60 degrees. The potential applications of ultra-high absorption solar absorbers include converting solar light and heat into electricity, infrared thermal imaging, and information detection.
