Dielectric behavior and AC conductivity of PEO/CMC polymer blend incorporated with gold nanoparticles produced by laser ablation

Summary: Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were synthesized using laser ablation technique and PEO/CMC-AuNPs nanocomposites were prepared using the casting method. Water was chosen as the solvent due to its eco-friendly nature. SEM micrographs showed uniformly distributed AuNPs on the sample surface. The increase in conductivity with the increase of AuNPs was attributed to an increase in transition probability for hopping electrons.

Characterization and electrical enhancement of PVP/PVA matrix doped by gold nanoparticles prepared by laser ablation

Summary: In this study, a PVP/PVA blend embedded with gold nanoparticles was synthesized using a traditional casting method, and the enhanced electrical conductivity of the blend was evaluated. The structural characterization confirmed the presence of AuNPs, and the conductivity of the blend was increased by raising the ratio of AuNPs.
