An investigation of dielectric properties of ultrathin TiOx-SiOx nanocomposite layers on Si substrate

Shakti Sharma et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the dielectric properties of ultrathin TiOx-SiOx nanocomposite films for future electronic and MEMS sensor applications. The films were prepared by thermal annealing of TiO2 films on Si substrates and exhibited a decrease in dielectric constant and tan-delta with annealing duration. The formation of SiOx layer at the film-substrate interface and intermixing of TiOx and SiOx phases contributed to the low dielectric constants.

Combined Experimental and Simulation Studies of Lithium and Cobalt-Modified TiO2 and Their Impacts on the Performance and Stability of Perovskite Solar Cells

Thapanut Smerchit et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effect of posttreatment of titanium oxide (TiO2) using lithium (Li) and cobalt (Co) precursors on the performance of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The results show that Li and Co ions can diffuse into TiO2 and accelerate the rutile phase transformation. Li-treated TiO2 exhibits higher conduction band edges, which improves charge extraction properties and PSC performance. However, Li-treated TiO2 tends to have more surface vacancies over time and is more susceptible to adsorption and accumulation of iodide ions.
