Summary: This study examined the effectiveness of deprexis in routine psychiatric hospital inpatient treatment of MDD. The results showed that TAU plus deprexis significantly improved depressive symptoms and led to earlier discharges compared to standard treatment. There was no significant difference in antidepressant medication between the two groups, and deprexis did not negatively affect the alliance between patients and therapists.

A randomized sham-controlled clinical trial of a novel wearable intervention for trauma-related nightmares in military veterans

Summary: This study examined the efficacy of a novel wearable device-based application in improving sleep quality for veterans with trauma-related nightmares. While both the Active and Sham systems showed improvement in measures of sleep quality, the Active system was associated with greater improvement, especially in compliant users. These findings provide preliminary evidence for the use of wearable devices in improving sleep quality for veterans with frequent trauma-related nightmares.

Digital cognitive training in children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder: a study protocol of a randomised controlled trial

Summary: This study aims to evaluate the immediate and long-term effectiveness of an attention training intervention for children with ADHD. A total of 104 children aged 5-8 years 11 months with a diagnosis of ADHD will be randomly assigned to either an attention training program or a numeracy program. The intervention will be conducted on a touchscreen tablet with five 20-minute sessions per week for five weeks. Assessments of attention, inhibitory control, and other secondary outcomes will be conducted before the intervention, immediately after, and at a 3-month follow-up. Multivariate linear regression will be used to analyze the outcomes.

The results showed that PEAR-004 did not demonstrate an effect on the primary outcome of total PANSS scores when compared to a nonspecific digital sham control. There were no notable benefits except for a possible temporary improvement in depressive symptoms.
