Behavioral and cognitive-affective features of stuttering in preschool-age children: Regression and exploratory cluster analyses

Ryan A. Millager et al.

Summary: The purpose of this study was to investigate the associations among behavioral and cognitive-affective features of stuttering in preschool-age children who stutter and whether multiple indices of stuttering can cluster participants together. The findings showed strong correlations between most indices of stuttering behaviors, but weaker relationships between behaviors and cognitive-affective reactions to stuttering. Additionally, the study identified two groups within this population, one with more prominent stuttering features and the other with less prominent features.
