Structural and analyses of thermoluminescence glow curves in Sm doped SrGd2O4 phosphor

S. Sarikci et al.

Summary: In this study, SrGd2O4: xSm(3+) (x = 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, and 5%) phosphors were synthesized using the solid state reaction method. XRD measurements confirmed the orthorhombic structure of the synthesized compounds. The sample doped with 0.5% Sm exhibited the highest integrated thermoluminescence intensity. Various methods were employed to analyze the thermoluminescence glow curve and determine its peak number, trap structure, and kinetic parameters.

Enhanced blue-light excited cyan-emitting persistent luminescence of BaLu2Al2Ga2SiO12:Ce3+, Bi3+ phosphors for AC-LEDs via defect modulation

Weihong Yuan et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the flicker effect of AC-LEDs and proposes a solution by designing blue-light excited cyan-emitting persistent luminescence (PersL) phosphors with co-doping Bi3+. The co-doping of Bi3+ enhances the intensity and regulates the lifetime of the phosphors. By adding the blue-light excited cyan PersL phosphor to the original orange-red PersL phosphor, a low-flicker AC-LED lamp is successfully fabricated, showing potential for practical applications.

Dosimetric properties of lithium borate glass doped with dysprosium

Nabil El-Faramawy et al.

Summary: The thermoluminescence properties of lithium borate glass samples doped with different concentrations of dysprosium were characterized. Glass samples doped with 0.1% Dy exhibited the best TL dosimetric properties. The deconvoluted analyses of the glow curves revealed five overlapping TL glow peaks, with a good linear dose-response for beta-particles in a specific dose range.

M. Oglakci et al.

Summary: A series of Gd3+ doped NaBaBO3 phosphors were synthesized via a combustion approach and the TL data was analyzed to evaluate basic kinetic parameters, showing that the luminescence process may follow first-order kinetics. Various analysis methods were utilized to study the TL glow peaks response and the number of component TL glow peaks in the complex glow curve. The results indicate a linear TL response up to 20 Gy and close values of activation energy were found using different methods.

The influence of co-doping on the luminescence and thermoluminescence properties of Cu-containing fluoride borate crystals

T. B. Bekker et al.

Summary: The study provides data on the luminescence and thermoluminescence properties of fluoride borate crystals co-doped with copper, rare earth elements, and strontium. The presence of copper ions narrows the bandgap width and promotes absorption in the visible range. The co-doping with copper and strontium has a noticeable effect on both photo- and thermoluminescence properties.
