Impact of Hall Current and Joule Heating on a Rotating Hybrid Nanofluid Over a Stretched Plate with Nonlinear Thermal Radiation

Essam M. Elsaid et al.

Summary: This research focuses on the impact of magnetic field, joule heating, rotation parameter, Hall current, and nonlinear thermal radiation on a rotating hybrid Fe3O4/Al2O3 nanofluid over-stretched plate. Numerical and graphical methods are used to study the effect of various entry parameters on transversal and longitudinal velocities, temperature, heat flow, and surface shear stress. The results confirm that the presence of hybrid nanoparticles increases skin friction on the surface and decreases the Nusselt number.

Summary: This article explores the combined impact of thermal radiation and suction/blowing on the MHD flow of Cu-Ag/H2O-C2H6O2 hybrid nanofluid through a stretchable surface in Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium. The study finds that velocity decreases with suction, while the absence of suction/injection region is observed. Moreover, in the blowing region, a dual behavior in velocity profiles is noticed with an increase in Forchhiemer and porosity parameters.

Boundary layer combustion of HTPB/paraffin fuels for hybrid propulsion applications

Yin Wang et al.

Summary: HTPB/paraffin fuels exhibit high regression rates and excellent mechanical properties due to the droplet entrainment and enhancement of the HTPB matrix. However, the unique structure of these fuels leads to more complex combustion mechanisms. The research investigated the boundary layer combustion characteristics of HTPB/paraffin fuels with oxygen flow. The results showed that the regression rate of fuels mainly composed of paraffin was higher than that of HTPB. The flame height and combustion boundary layer thickness were inversely correlated with the oxidizer mass flux, while the chamber pressure had little effect. The addition of HTPB limited the development of combustion boundary layer thickness and hindered the generation of entrainment droplets, but improved combustion efficiency.

Effect of natural convection on 3D MHD flow of MoS2-GO/H2O via porous surface due to multiple slip mechanisms

Alok Kumar Pandey et al.

Summary: The magnetized flow behaviour of a hybrid nanofluid containing molybdenum disulphide (MoS2) and graphene oxide (GO) nanoparticles, subject to multiple slip mechanisms, natural convection and chemical reaction, is examined in this study. The hybrid nanofluid is prepared by combining MoS2, GO, and a conventional fluid (H2O). The equations of the model are solved using shooting and bvp4c techniques, and are validated against previous research. The study shows that an increase in thermal slip parameter values leads to a depreciation in the thermal field profiles of MoS2-GO/H2O. Additionally, an increase in velocity slip parameter results in an increase in temperature and concentration functions, while the velocity outlines of the MoS2-GO/H2O fluid decrease. Furthermore, an increase in natural convection parameter values leads to an augmentation in the velocity functions and a decline in the concentration function of MoS2-GO/H2O.

By modifying the Navier-Stokes equations, Maxwell equation, and energy equation, and applying the magnetic and electric fields, numerical solutions are obtained for different parameters. The accuracy of the method is verified by comparing with previous literature, and the influences of these parameters are analyzed graphically.

Thermophysical bubble dynamics in N-dimensional Al2O3/H2O nanofluid between two-phase turbulent flow

Adel M. Morad et al.

Summary: The study aims to investigate the growth behavior of bubbles in N-dimensional turbulent Al2O3/H2O-nanofluid and its applications in polymers and climate change models under the influence of various factors including thermal diffusivity, surface tension, viscosity, and nanoparticle concentration. The results show that the radius of the bubble is related to these factors and the growth of vapor bubble in a nanofluid turbulent flow is less than that in a Newtonian fluid. The efficient utilization of N-dimensional turbulent Al2O3 nanoparticles leads to more reduction in the bubble growth process compared to previous models.
