A 3D Geometry-Based THz Channel Model for 6G Ultra Massive MIMO Systems

Yuan Yuan et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a 3D geometry-based double-spherical terahertz (THz) channel model for ultra massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications. The model takes into account the characteristics of nano-material array antenna and the high loss of THz bands. The influences of channel parameters on correlation functions are investigated and it is found that antenna element spacing and number of clusters significantly impact channel correlation. Moreover, the location of clusters affects the drop rate of correlation function. The influences of the number of clusters and concentration of intra-cluster multipath components (MPCs) on the Doppler power spectral density are also analyzed.

Simultaneous Learning and Inferencing of DNN-Based mmWave Massive MIMO Channel Estimation in IoT Systems With Unknown Nonlinear Distortion

Xuanyu Zheng et al.

Summary: This article proposes an online training framework based on deep neural network (DNN) for mmWave massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel estimation in Internet-of-Things (IoT) systems. The framework takes into account the nonlinear amplifier distortions and trains the DNN-based channel estimator online using real-time received pilot measurements. The proposed framework achieves high estimation accuracy and computational efficiency, even in the presence of unknown nonlinearity and model mismatches.

Fingerprint-Based Localization and Channel Estimation Integration for Cell-Free Massive MIMO IoT Systems

Chen Wei et al.

Summary: This article proposes a novel integration framework for localization and channel estimation in cell-free massive MIMO Internet of Things (IoT) systems. The method achieves accurate channel estimation and positioning accuracy through position information and accurate channel information. The proposed two-phase fingerprint-based localization method and coarse-location-based pilot reassignment scheme outperforms existing methods in terms of positioning performance and complexity.

Analysis and Optimization of Massive Access to the IoT Relying on Multi-Pair Two-Way Massive MIMO Relay Systems

Zhangjie Peng et al.

Summary: This study investigates massive access in IoT using MIMO technology and AF relay systems, with the use of the AMP algorithm for device activity detection and channel estimation. Achievable rates for active devices are analyzed and closed-form expressions derived for different beamforming schemes at the relay. A low-complexity algorithm is proposed to optimize the pilot length, with simulation results verifying the accuracy of the proposed strategies.

A 3D Cluster-Based Channel Model for 5G and Beyond Vehicle-to-Vehicle Massive MIMO Channels

Lu Bai et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a 3D cluster-based model for V2V massive MIMO communication, which distinguishes dynamic and static clusters and considers characteristics of V2V channels and massive MIMO. The model integrates VTD and a time-array cluster evolution algorithm, deriving channel statistical properties and aiding in the design of vehicular massive MIMO communication systems.Verification of the model's utility is done by comparing simulation results to measurement data.
