Attitudes towards influenza, and COVID-19 vaccines during the COVID-19 pandemic among a representative sample of the Jewish Israeli population

Yasmin Maor et al.

Summary: Willingness to receive COVID-19 vaccine was higher than willingness to receive influenza vaccine among the Jewish Israeli population. The study suggests addressing concerns about side effects and lack of knowledge regarding influenza vaccine effectiveness to increase acceptance. Hesitancy towards other vaccines was also associated with hesitancy towards COVID-19 vaccination.

Underserved population acceptance of combination influenza-COVID-19 booster vaccines

Robert P. Lennon et al.

Summary: Recent data suggests increasing hesitancy towards both COVID-19 and influenza vaccination. Among US adults, acceptance rates for a COVID-19 booster alone, an influenza vaccine alone, and a combination influenza-COVID-19 booster vaccine were 45%, 58%, and 50% respectively. Acceptance was lower among female, Black/African American, Native American/American Indian, and rural respondents, while higher acceptance was found among those with college and post-graduate degrees.
