Eplet mismatch scores and de novo donor-specific antibody development in simultaneous pancreas-kidney transplantation

J. M. Ladowski et al.

Summary: High-resolution HLA matching scores predict the development of dnDSA, which is associated with antibody-mediated rejection and poor outcomes in pancreas and kidney transplants.

Is the level of HLA eplet mismatch a risk factor for graft loss among kidney transplant recipients who have already formed de novo donor specific antibody?

Jiqiu Wen et al.

Summary: Eplet mismatches are not correlated with ABMR or allograft loss among high risk kidney transplant patients with dnDSA, according to a retrospective observational study. Medication adherence and dnDSA MFI < 3000 are associated with reduced ABMR incidence in this population.

Prospective Measures of Adherence by Questionnaire, Low Immunosuppression and Graft Outcome in Kidney Transplantation

Mathilde Prezelin-Reydit et al.

Summary: Prospective serial monitoring of medication non-adherence using the Morisky scale does not predict the occurrence of de novo donor-specific antibodies (dnDSA), rejection, or graft failure in kidney transplant recipients. However, the use of cyclosporine and withdrawal of calcineurin inhibitors (CNI) were strongly associated with the development of dnDSA and rejection, leading to graft failure.
