Novel microarchitecture of human endometrial glands: implications in endometrial regeneration and pathologies

Summary: The recently discovered unique and complex architecture of human endometrial glands provides new insights into endometrial biology. The horizontally branched basalis glands adjacent to the myometrium contrast with the vertically coiled functionalis glands, resembling intestinal crypts. The interconnected basalis glands are shown to contain endometrial epithelial stem cells, contributing to the efficient regeneration of the human endometrium.

Transplantation of umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells promotes the recovery of thin endometrium in rats

Summary: This study investigated the mechanisms of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs) transplantation in repairing thin endometrium in rats. The results showed that UC-MSCs treatment improved endometrial morphology and function, promoting the increase in endometrium thickness and embryo implantation. The study also revealed the expression changes of miRNA and mRNA during endometrial injury and repair, as well as the signaling pathways involved in the process.

This system shows promising results in promoting neovascularization and tissue regeneration, making the regenerated endometrial tissue more receptive to embryos and leading to the birth of healthy newborns.
