Graphene-empowered dynamic metasurfaces and metadevices

Summary: Graphene, with its dynamic tunability, has enabled the development of dynamic metasurfaces and metadevices. This review highlights the recent progress in graphene-empowered dynamic manipulation of electromagnetic waves, including dynamic spectrum manipulation, wavefront shaping, polarization control, and frequency conversion. The remaining challenges and potential future developments are also discussed.

Graphene Based Tunable Terahertz Holographic Antennas

Summary: This paper presents several terahertz graphene holographic impedance surface antennas. Unlike conventional impedance surface antennas that adjust the surface impedance by varying the patch size, the proposed antenna controls the surface impedance by applying a tunable DC bias to each graphene patch cell. The antennas have same patch size and equal spacing, making the modeling process more convenient. Additionally, beam scanning can be achieved by varying the DC supply, and the antennas can be designed conformal to required platforms.
