A Highly Selective Turn-On Fluorescent Sensor for Aluminum Ion Detection in Aqueous Solution Based on Imidazo[2,1-b]thiazole Schiff Base

The proposed sensing mechanism involves the inhibition of photo-induced electron transfer (PET) and chelation-enhanced fluorescence (CHEF), providing guidance for developing sensors with turn-on fluorescence response.
