Inactivation of the waterborne marine pathogen Vibrio alginolyticus by photo-chemical processes driven by UV-A, UV-B, or UV-C LED combined with H2O2 or HSO5-

Javier Moreno-Andres et al.

Summary: Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is an effective water disinfection process, and different wavelengths of UV have varying effects on bacterial inactivation and energy efficiency. This study compared the disinfection efficacy of different UV-LED driven processes and found that UV/HSO5- and UV/H2O2 combinations were effective in bacterial inactivation while saving energy. This has potential applications for disinfection in industries such as aquaculture or maritime transportation.

Collective Dynamics of Bulk Nanobubbles with Size-Dependent Surface Tension

These predictions are qualitatively consistent with experimental results of micro/nanobubbles produced using the microfluidic method.
