High-density and high-quality holographic storage in a multilayer glass-like photopolymer

Jian Wang et al.

Summary: We demonstrate the significance of polymerization degree on the holographic properties of glass-like photopolymer. Through modulation of polymerization degree and photosensitizer concentration, a multilayer PQ/PMMA photopolymer with excellent storage fidelity and reproduction resolution is fabricated. A reflection geometry holographic disk system is established using the multilayer sample, achieving high storage density and high-quality reproduced images.

Defocus digital light processing stereolithography for rapid manufacture of microlens arrays

Pin-Chuan Chen et al.

Summary: This study applied defocusing to digital light processing (DLP) stereolithography to fabricate microlens arrays (MLAs) within 1 s. The effects of exposure energy, defocus distance, and a diameter adjustment algorithm were investigated to achieve MLAs with desired dimensions. The results showed that the proposed fabrication method is suitable for various MLA designs, with nanoscale surface roughness and good image quality.

Experimental study on mechanical and optical properties of printable photopolymer used for visualising hidden structures and stresses in rocks

Yang Ju et al.

Summary: The study evaluates the mechanical and optical properties of the printable stress-sensitive photopolymer VeroClear at temperatures ranging from 50 to 125 degrees Celsius for modeling actual rocks. Additionally, contact angles of the material in different solutions were measured to evaluate the fluid flow behavior of rocks. The experimental data reported support the use of additively printed models for evaluating the solid and fluid mechanics of subsurface rocks.

The effect of time on mechanical properties of biocompatible photopolymer resins used for fabrication of clear dental aligners

Aleksa Milovanovic et al.

Summary: This study investigates the changes in material properties of clear dental aligners over time, with tests including tensile, compressive and three-point bending testing. The mechanical properties, such as strength and strain at failure, of biocompatible photopolymer resin are monitored to demonstrate the effect of time.
