Research on Crack Width Measurement Based on Binocular Vision and Improved DeeplabV3+

Chaoxin Chen et al.

Summary: To quickly and conveniently measure the crack information of concrete planar structures, a non-contact measurement method based on binocular vision is proposed. The method involves an improved DeeplabV3+ semantic segmentation model, construction of the plane space coordinate equation, and calculation of crack width. Experimental results demonstrate the high precision and stable accuracy of the proposed method in different measurement angles. It effectively solves the problem of measuring crack width in outdoor environments.

Novel camera calibration method based on invariance of collinear points and pole-polar constraint

Liang Wei et al.

Summary: In this paper, a circle location method based on the invariance of collinear points and pole-polar constraint is proposed to address the eccentric error of circular marks in camera calibration. The extraction of ellipse centers and the establishment of the true concentric circle center projection equation are achieved by exploiting the cross ratio invariance of the collinear points. The proposed method performs better in locating and calibrating circular marks by achieving the actual center projection of the marks.

A flexible calibration method for large-range binocular vision system based on state transformation

Haidong Zhang et al.

Summary: Vision measurement is crucial in construction scenarios, and the accuracy of binocular camera calibration directly affects its precision. This study presents a flexible binocular camera calibration method using state transformation to address the challenge of conveniently calibrating a large-range binocular vision system in harsh construction environments. The proposed method achieves mapping between pixel coordinates and world coordinates and divides the calibration process into two stages. Simulation and experiments show that the method has low reprojection error and relative measurement error, demonstrating good robustness for complex engineering sites.

Robust and accuracy calibration method for a binocular camera using a coding planar target

Yulong Yin et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a high-precision and robust binocular camera calibration method based on a coding target. The method improves the stability and robustness of calibration results by designing a coding target with simple patterns and using a rapid, robust, and accurate decoding algorithm. Additionally, the introduction of zenith and azimuth angles enhances the robustness of the calibration. Furthermore, a multi-constraint optimization method is proposed to refine the parameters of the binocular camera and improve the accuracy of calibration. Experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method.
