Confidence interval for micro-averaged F1 and macro-averaged F1 scores

Kanae Takahashi et al.

Summary: Binary classification problems in the medical field often use sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, negative and positive predictive values to evaluate performance. The F-1 score, as a summary measure, is widely used in information retrieval and extraction evaluations, and can be estimated using the large sample multivariate central limit theorem.

A two-stage CNN-based hand-drawn electrical and electronic circuit component recognition system

Mrityunjoy Dey et al.

Summary: Although handwriting recognition has been extensively researched for decades, there are still sub-areas within this field that have not received much attention. This study focuses on automating the circuit design process by recognizing hand-drawn circuit components, proposing a two-stage convolutional neural network (CNN) model. The model was evaluated on a self-made database, showing that the proposed two-stage classification model achieved a much higher accuracy of 97.33% compared to the single-stage method which had an accuracy of 86.00%.
