Cross-professional collaboration to improve inclusive education

Rolf B. Fasting et al.

Summary: The Norwegian Educational Psychological Service (EPS) is an important partner in promoting inclusive education (IE) in kindergartens and schools. Collaboration with principals and classroom teachers is crucial for the development of productive learning environments. However, a study found that in collaborative projects aimed at improving education quality for at-risk students and those with special educational needs, there is a focus on placement rather than other important aspects of IE. This study emphasizes the need for a better understanding of the ideals of inclusive education in order to improve the education quality for these children.
