Summary: This paper studies the energy ratios of plane waves on the interface of nonlocal thermoelastic halfspace (NTS) and nonlocal orthotropic piezothermoelastic half-space (NOPS). The authors use the memory-dependent derivatives (MDDs) approach with a hyperbolic two-temperature (HTT), three-phase lag theory to investigate the changes in energy ratios at the interface with varying angles of incidence. They find that the energy ratios are influenced by the HTT, nonlocal, and MDD parameters, and these ratios correspond to four distinct models.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of higher-order fractional order and memory-dependent derivatives on reflection at the free surface of an orthotropic piezo-thermoelastic medium using the triple-phase lag model. The performance of both kinds of derivatives is examined using normal mode analysis technique. Four different types of coupled reflected plane waves are identified and the influence of various parameters on energy distribution with respect to the angle of incidence is explored. The results are presented in graphical form, providing numerical data for reflected waves, amplitude, and energy ratios.

Summary: In the context of the triple-phase lag model, a comparison study is conducted on the propagation of plane waves in a half-space of initially stressed transversely isotropic piezothermoelastic material, using the memory-dependent derivative and fractional order derivative. The coupled governing equations of the model, involving relaxation time, time delay, fractional order parameter, and kernel function, are solved using normal mode analysis technique to obtain analytical expressions. Graphical results show the non-dimensional temperature, displacement, electrical displacements, and stresses at different values of the fractional order parameter and time delay factor.

Summary: A two-dimensional model based on Lord-Shulman's thermoelasticity theory was used to study the impact of various físical parameters on a double porous thermoelastic medium. It was found that four coupled longitudinal waves and one uncoupled transverse wave could exist in the solid medium, as well as one mechanical wave in the liquid medium, all propagating at different speeds. Additionally, it was observed that coupled longitudinal waves exhibited dispersion, attenuation, and other characteristics, which depended on the types of voids and thermal features of the medium. The simplest form of the complex secular equation was derived, and the amplitudes of solid and liquid displacements, volume fraction fields, and temperature change at the interface were obtained. Computer-simulated results for magnesium crystal material with different wave profiles were graphically displayed.

Summary: This paper studies the energy ratios of plane waves on an imperfect interface of elastic half-space (EHS) and orthotropic piezothermoelastic half-space (OPHS). The dual-phase lag (DPL) theory with memory-dependent derivatives is employed to analyze the variation of energy ratios at the imperfect interface. Numerical computation and graphical representation are used to consider the effects of stiffness parameters, memory, and kernel functions, based on a specific model of graphite (EHS)/cadmium selenide (OPHS).

Summary: The energy ratios at the interface between a nonlocal orthotropic piezothermoelastic half-space with dual-phase lag memory-dependent derivatives and an elastic half-space were analyzed in this study. Different temperature models were considered, including hyperbolic two-temperature, classical two-temperature, and without-two-temperature. Plane waves were studied, leading to reflection and transmission of waves at the interface. The amplitude ratios were determined to obtain the energy ratios of the reflected and transmitted waves. The law of conservation of energy was validated.

Summary: In this paper, the reflection and transmission coefficients of spherical waves at a plane interface separating two dissimilar viscoelastic solids are rigorously investigated. It is shown that selecting the correct vertical slowness can be circumvented by using the Sommerfeld integral appropriate for the dissipative materials. However, the resulting phase curves of the complex spherical wave R/T coefficients may be of opposite sign to the corresponding phase curves of plane waves due to the non-uniqueness of the latter for post-critical wave incidence.

Summary: The study developed a mathematical model for wave propagation in a cracked porous solid with penny-shaped inclusions, revealing the existence of four waves with inhomogeneous nature. Reflection phenomena and energy partition of incident waves were investigated, showing conservation of incident energy at various angles of incidence.

Summary: Closed-form expressions for poroelastic coefficients are derived for anisotropic materials exhibiting single and double porosity, using the principle of superposition to derive governing mass conservation equations. Numerical values of the poroelastic coefficients are calculated for granite and sandstone to guide modelers in determining these coefficients for full-scale modeling and simulations.

Summary: This study investigates the influence of voids on the propagation of time-harmonic plane waves in a semi-infinite homogeneous isotropic thermoelastic medium in contact with an inviscid liquid half-space under the Lord-Shulman theory of thermoelasticity. The mathematical model is developed using the normal mode analysis method, with four waves in the solid half-space and one wave in the liquid half-space. The transverse wave in the solid half-space and the set of coupled dilatational waves are affected by the presence of voids and thermal effects.

Summary: The study analyzes the contribution of reflected longitudinal waves to wave-induced fluid flow in cracked porous solids, finding four waves and calculating their reflection coefficients. It is shown that the fluid flow induced by longitudinal waves is directly linked to their respective reflection coefficients.
