Comparing competing geospatial measures to capture the relationship between the neighborhood food environment and diet

Pasquale E. Rummo et al.

Summary: The study aimed to examine how the choice of neighborhood food environment definition impacts the association with diet. Analyzing data from 20,331 participants using food frequency questionnaires, the research found that the selection of different buffer-based measurement methods had varying impacts on the study results. It was concluded that researchers should tailor buffer-based measures to community type in future studies.
