Md Zillur Rahman et al.

Summary: Due to the scarcity and lack of biodegradability of petroleum-based polymers, researchers are looking for green biopolymers as an alternative in the automobile and aviation industries. While automakers have successfully used bio-based materials in newer automobiles, the use of biopolymers in aviation is limited due to stricter property requirements. Advanced biopolymers are applied in various aircraft components, and these materials are expected to substitute traditional plastics with the help of modifying agents and cutting-edge manufacturing technology.
