Fe Doped Ga2O3 Nanomaterial Catalysed Green and Efficient One Pot Three Component Synthesis of Tetrahydrobenzo[b]pyran

Amol R. Parhad et al.

Summary: The hydrothermal synthesis of Fe doped gallium oxide nanoparticles was reported, and their characterization was performed using IR, XRD, SEM, and EDX techniques. The Fe doped gallium oxide nanomaterial was found to have a particle size of 18.58 nm with a monoclinic phase. The nanomaterial exhibited efficient catalytic activity in a one-pot domino Knoevenagel and Michael's addition reaction, providing tetrahydrobenzo [b] pyran derivatives with good to excellent yields (60-94%), non-chromatographic purification, shorter reaction time, and easy work-up. The reusability and non-toxic nature of this nanomaterial catalyst enhance the significance of this work.

Macrocyclic pseudo crown-ether- manganese (II) complex coated on nanomagnetic LDH- catalyzed Biginelli annulation reactions

Farzaneh Ghobakhloo et al.

Summary: A single-site macrocyclic pseudo crown ether-manganese complex was formed by complexation of a new tetradentate ligand with manganese (II) halide precursor through an electron-transfer process. The prepared [gamma-Fe2O3@LDH/PCE-Mn(II)] exhibited efficient catalytic activity in the synthesis of functionalized chromeno-pyrimidines via a Biginelli-like annulation process. Various aryl aldehydes and carbamide/thiocarbamide reacted with a I3-ketoester moiety in ethanol at 60 degrees C, yielding 65-92% in 10-40 minutes. This catalytic process relied on the Mn(II)-catalyzed in situ generation of an imine intermediate followed by the addition of a I3-ketoester moiety, ring closure reaction, and removal of a water molecule to produce a library of new chromeno-pyrimidine-2,5-diones/thione products with a broad substrate scope.

L-aspartic acid chelan-Cu (II) complex coted on ZrFe2O4 MNPs catalyzed one-pot annulation and cooperative geminal-vinylogous anomeric-based oxidation reactions

Masoud Mohammadi et al.

Summary: In this study, a novel chelan complex - L-aspartic acid with copper (II) - is developed on the surface of silica-modified nanomagnetic zirconium ferrite as a new catalytic support. The resulting complex exhibits significant catalytic activity in the synthesis of Pyrano[2,3-c]pyrazoles and 2-amino-3-cyanopyridine derivatives. Mechanistic studies revealed a similar reaction sequence for both reactions, with an additional oxidation step for the synthesis of 2-amino-3-cyanopyridines to pyridines. Various aryl and hetero-aryl aldehydes were employed for the synthesis of six-membered heterocycles.
