DETECTION AND CHARACTERISTICS OF UNRUPTURED RETINAL ARTERIAL MACROANEURYSMS

Saori Sakaguchi et al.

Summary: This study aimed to determine the presence of unruptured retinal arterial macroaneurysms (RAMs) and examine their characteristics. The results showed that unruptured RAMs are not uncommon and can progressively enlarge and develop into ruptured RAMs.

MACULAR BLOOD FLOW CHANGES IN BRANCH RETINAL VEIN OCCLUSION EXAMINED BY OPTICAL COHERENCE TOMOGRAPHY ANGIOGRAPHY VARIABLE INTERSCAN TIME ANALYSIS

Naomi Nishigori et al.

Summary: This study examines the relationship between changes in retinal blood flow and the recurrence of macular edema in eyes with branch retinal vein occlusion. The use of optical coherence tomography angiography with variable interscan time analysis enables the detection of retinal blood flow changes and may predict the recurrence of macular edema.

Widefield Choroidal Thickness of Eyes with Central Serous Chorioretinopathy Examined by Swept-Source OCT

Masaharu Ishikura et al.

Summary: The purpose of this study was to analyze the widefield changes in choroidal thickness of eyes with central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) using enhanced depth imaging. The results revealed significantly greater choroidal thickness in all subfields of eyes with CSC compared to normal eyes. The affected vortex vein and systemic risk factors may play a role in the pathogenesis of CSC.

Analyzing Relative Flow Speeds in Diabetic Retinopathy Using Variable Interscan Time Analysis OCT Angiography

Malvika Arya et al.

Summary: The VISTA algorithm provides insight into the flow characteristics of vascular changes in diabetic retinopathy, showing correlations between microvascular changes and blood flow speeds. This may aid in improving assessment and treatment of the disease.
