Spin contribution to the instability of THz plasma waves

Summary: The quantum magnetohydrodynamic model was used to study the influence of electron spin effects on the stability of THz plasma waves in FET, showing that the presence of spin effects can enlarge the unstable range of beta, enhance the instability increment, and increase the frequency of THz plasma waves. The research indicates that nanometer FETs with spin effects have advantages in realizing practical terahertz radiation.
