The PRIDE database resources in 2022: a hub for mass spectrometry-based proteomics evidences

Yasset Perez-Riverol et al.

Summary: PRIDE is the largest data repository of mass spectrometry-based proteomics data in the world, with around 500 datasets submitted per month. In addition to continuous improvements in data pipelines and infrastructure, PRIDE has developed the Spectra Archive and MAGE-TAB file format to enhance sample metadata annotation and access to mass spectra.

Interacting partners of Brassica juncea regulator of G-protein signaling protein suggest its role in cell wall metabolism and cellular signaling

Roshan Kumar et al.

Summary: This study isolated homologs encoding RGS proteins from Brassica juncea and identified interacting proteins with RGS proteins. These interacting proteins play important roles in cell wall metabolism and phosphorylation-mediated cell signaling, and have a coexpression pattern with RGS homologs.

Sclerotinia sclerotiorum Infection Triggers Changes in Primary and Secondary Metabolism in Arabidopsis thaliana

J. Chen et al.

Summary: The infection by S. sclerotiorum significantly alters the primary and secondary metabolism of Arabidopsis thaliana, leading to changes in soluble sugar and amino acid content, activation of the jasmonate signaling pathway, and accumulation of antifungal metabolites.

Extra-large G-proteins influence plant response to Sclerotinia sclerotiorum by regulating glucosinolate metabolism in Brassica juncea

Ruchi Tiwari et al.

Summary: The study investigated the regulatory complexity of XLG genes in Brassica juncea in response to the necrotrophic fungal pathogen Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. Knocking down BjuXLG genes resulted in compromised defence response and reduced expression of defence marker genes. Overall, B. juncea XLG genes play a critical role in modulating host defence pathways against necrotrophic pathogens.
