Investigation of Antidiabetic Effect of Pistacia atlantica Leaves by Activity-Guided Fractionation and Phytochemical Content Analysis by LC-QTOF-MS

Summary: This study evaluated the potential effects of Pistacia atlantica Desf. leaves on diabetes, obesity, oxidative stress, and hyperlipidemia. The methanol extract of the leaves showed strong inhibitory effects on pancreatic cholesterol esterase enzyme and enzymes involved in carbohydrate digestion. Additionally, the methanol extract exhibited antioxidant activities similar to reference compounds.
