Topical astilbin ameliorates imiquimod-induced psoriasis-like skin lesions in SKH-1 mice via suppression dendritic cell-Th17 inflammation axis

Qingqing Xu et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates the therapeutic effects of astilbin in an IMQ-induced psoriasis-like murine model. It alleviates skin lesions by promoting epidermal keratinocyte differentiation and reducing inflammatory cytokine expression. These findings support the potential clinical application of astilbin for psoriasis treatment.

Tyrosine kinase 2 and Janus kinase-signal transducer and activator of transcription signaling and inhibition in plaque psoriasis

James G. Krueger et al.

Summary: Plaque psoriasis is a common, chronic, systemic, immune-mediated inflammatory disease. The Janus kinase-signal transducer and activator of transcription pathway plays a major role in psoriasis, but safety concerns persist with current JAK inhibitors. TYK2, a member of the JAK family, may offer a potential target for safer and more effective therapies in psoriasis treatment.

Impact of Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic Properties of Monoclonal Antibodies in the Management of Psoriasis

Karine Rodriguez-Fernandez et al.

Summary: The emergence of biological therapies has revolutionized the treatment of psoriasis. However, the complex pharmacokinetic properties of monoclonal antibodies (mAb) have posed challenges for dosage determination. This study reviewed population pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) models of different types of mAb used in psoriasis treatment. The results showed that body weight and immunogenicity significantly influenced drug clearance. The lack of consensus on PK/PD relationships emphasizes the importance of therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in psoriasis treatment.

Shuangyu Tiaozhi decoction alleviates non-alcoholic fatty liver disease by improving lipid deposition, insulin resistance, and inflammation in vitro and in vivo

Guoliang Yin et al.

Summary: This study investigated the potential mechanism of Shuangyu Tiaozhi Decoction (SYTZD) against non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) through network pharmacology and experimental verification. The results showed that SYTZD may exert multiple anti-NAFLD mechanisms through a multi-component, multi-target, and multi-pathway mechanism of action, including improvements in lipid deposition, inflammation, and insulin resistance. These findings provide insights into the therapeutic potential of SYTZD for NAFLD.

Analysis of PPARγ Signaling Activity in Psoriasis

Vladimir Sobolev et al.

Summary: Our study demonstrates the involvement of PPAR-gamma in the development of psoriatic lesions, with laser treatment restoring its expression. The transcriptional regulation of PPAR-gamma is correlated with the expression of genes such as IL17, STAT3, FOXP3, and RORC in psoriatic skin and T cells.

Anti-type I allergic effects of Jing-Fang powder extracts via PI3K/Akt pathway in vitro and in vivo

An Yuan et al.

Summary: Jing-Fang powder, specifically its ethyl acetate extract fractions (JFEE) and isolate D (JFEE-D), have shown significant anti-allergic effects in inhibiting IgE-mediated type I allergic reactions by potentially suppressing the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway. This suggests a potential therapeutic target for allergic conditions.
