We studied the dependence of the low-lying charmed mesons on the light and heavy quark masses using the one-loop HH & chi; PT framework. The low energy constants were determined by analyzing lattice data from different LQCD simulations. Model selection tools were used to determine the relevant parameters for higher precision data. Discretization and other effects resulting from the charm quark mass setting were discussed.
