Correlation integral vs. second order factorial moments and an efficient computational technique

F. K. Diakonos et al.

Summary: We develop a mapping between the factorial moments of F-2 and the correlation integral C. We propose a fast computation technique for evaluating both, which is more efficient for data with a lower number of pairs per event compared to conventional methods. The effectiveness of the technique becomes more prominent as the dimension of the embedding space increases. This technique allows for the analysis of large amounts of data in a short computation time and the detection of weak signals hidden in strong noise.

NA61/SHINE results on fluctuations and correlations at CERN SPS energies

Maja Mackowiak-Pawlowska

Summary: The NA61/SHINE strong interaction programme aims to explore the phase diagram of strongly interacting matter, focusing on the onset of deconfinement and the search for the critical point. This is achieved through a beam momentum and system size scan, studying fluctuations and correlations such as quantum correlations, multiplicity and net-charge fluctuations, proton density fluctuations, and anisotropic collective flow, and comparing the obtained results with other experiments and model predictions.

Measurement of the Sixth-Order Cumulant of Net-Proton Multiplicity Distributions in Au plus Au Collisions at √SNN=27, 54.4, and 200 GeV at RHIC

Summary: This study investigates the transition from quark-gluon plasma to hadronic matter in high-energy nuclear collisions using first-principle lattice QCD calculations and experimental data. The results suggest a smooth crossover phenomenon under certain energy conditions.

Proton correlations and apparent intermittency in the UrQMD model with hadronic potentials

Pengcheng Li et al.

Summary: It is found that including nuclear interactions can lead to obvious correlations of protons in heavy ion collisions. These correlations significantly affect intermittency analysis in experiments, with simulation results similar to reported values from the NA61 collaboration.

Cumulants and correlation functions of net-proton, proton, and antiproton multiplicity distributions in Au plus Au collisions at energies available at the BNL Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider

M. S. Abdallah et al.

Summary: The study presents systematic measurements of cumulants and correlation functions for net-proton, proton, and antiproton multiplicity distributions in Au+Au collisions at different energies. Nonmonotonic energy dependence and critical fluctuations are observed, along with the effects of baryon number conservation on the correlation functions.
