This study investigates the pair production near a (near) extremal magnetized Reissner-Nordstrom black hole. The results show the existence of pair production in the extremal state, which can be interpreted as the Schwinger effect due to the strong field under consideration. Numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the correspondence between the growth of the external magnetic field and scalar absorption.
