Reproducibility of T1p and T2 quantification in a multi-vendor multi-site study

R. Lartey et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the reproducibility of 2D MESE T2 mapping and 3D MAPSS T1p/T2 mapping in a multi-vendor multi-site setting. The results showed excellent intra-site reproducibility of 2D MESE T2 imaging and good reproducibility of longitudinal T1p and T2 cartilage quantification. The study highlights the importance of standardized imaging protocols for multi-vendor multi-site studies. Rating: 8/10

Clinical translation of quantitative magnetic resonance imaging biomarkers-An overview and gap analysis of current practice

Penny L. Hubbard Cristinacce et al.

Summary: This overview investigates the use and quality management practices of qMR IBs in the UK. The study finds an increased use of qMR methods, but a low level of clinical translation. The results also suggest a lack of reporting on quality assurance and quality control of data acquisition procedures in the literature and a lack of consistency in quality assurance and quality control of data analysis between institutions.

Test-retest repeatability of T1rho (T1ρ) MR imaging in the head and neck

Qi Yong H. Ai et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the repeatability of quantitative T1rho imaging in the head and neck region by performing scans on healthy participants on three occasions. The ICCs for normal tissues showed almost perfect repeatability for intra-session scans and substantial for inter-session scans. The T1rho values varied among tissues, with the highest repeatability coefficient observed for the parotid gland.

On the dependence of quantitative diffusion-weighted imaging on scanner system characteristics and acquisition parameters: A large multicenter and multiparametric phantom study with unsupervised clustering analysis

Luca Fedeli et al.

Summary: This multicenter phantom study assessed potential biases in ADC estimation due to different scanner characteristics using an innovative approach and unsupervised clustering analysis. The study found no significant dependence of in-center ADC values on acquisition plan/phase encoding direction and identified an association between measured ADC values and manufacturer/model of scanner. Several acquisition setups were shown to introduce different biases in ADC estimation.
