The electronic, elastic and thermodynamic properties of MNi3 (M = Be, Mg, Ca) were investigated, as well as the influence of pressure and strain on elastic properties. It was found that these compounds exhibit metallic behavior, with the metal attribute index in the order of BeNi3 < MgNi3.
