An adaptive consensus method based on feedback mechanism and social interaction in social network group decision making

Cui Shang et al.

Summary: In this paper, a novel consensus model based on passive adjustment and active adjustment is proposed, which adaptively adjusts the opinions of decision makers based on their distribution. The results show that for decision-making groups that are stubborn to initial opinions, social interaction can have positive or negative effects depending on the stubbornness degree and opinion distribution of decision makers. Furthermore, the proposed consensus model outperforms existing consensus methods in terms of efficiency and success rate, regardless of the stubbornness degree and adjustment intensity.

Consensus reaching with trust evolution in social network group decision making

Yangjingjing Zhang et al.

Summary: Trust degrees among individuals in SNGDM are crucial for consensus reaching, and the evolution of trust degrees can have a significant impact on group consensus. The proposed framework CRP-OD-TE addresses the consensus reaching issue with trust evolution by incorporating endogenous and exogenous feedback mechanisms.

Learning Hidden Influences in Large-Scale Dynamical Social Networks

Chiara Ravazzi et al.

Summary: Estimating interpersonal influence from empirical data is a central challenge in studying social structures and dynamics. Opinion dynamics theory, as an interdisciplinary science, has potential applications in marketing, advertising, and recommendations. The aim is to infer social influence qualitatively and quantitatively from data, with a focus on opinions dynamics models, structural constraints, and algorithms for network structure inference.

Influence identification of opinion leaders in social networks: an agent-based simulation on competing advertisements

Jia Chen et al.

Summary: In social networks, the influence of advertisement opinion leaders plays a crucial role in shaping followers' opinions. The study reveals that advertisement influence has a dual effect on opinion evolution, and the probability of information transmission by opinion leaders significantly impacts collective opinion evolution.

Optimizing consensus reaching in the hybrid opinion dynamics in a social network?

Yi Liu et al.

Summary: The paper proposes a novel consensus reaching strategy for hybrid opinion dynamics in a social network, utilizing network partition algorithm and shortest path calculation to form consensus, and conducting numerical and simulation analysis of the CRMD model. Research results demonstrate the model's superior effectiveness compared to other consensus strategies.

Creation, evolution, and dissolution of social groups

James Flamino et al.

Summary: By analyzing the dynamic changes in membership and increasing homogeneity of opinions in NetSense data, researchers have identified patterns of why people join, stay, or leave social groups, and proposed a formal definition of utility based on the relationship between member benefits and homophilous opinions. The empirical data supported the effectiveness of this definition, and an analytical model was established to accurately reproduce these trends.

Collective Behavior of Multileader Multiagent Systems With Random Interactions Over Signed Digraphs

Lei Shi et al.

Summary: This article explores the collective behavior of a group of generic linear agents interacting by random interaction on signed digraphs in the presence of multiple leaders. The global almost sure convergence of the system is solved by using the convergence analysis method of products of infinite substochastic matrices, and the theoretical research results are verified through simulation experiments.

Shifting Opinions in a Social Network Through Leader Selection

Yuhao Yi et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the French-DeGroot opinion dynamics in a social network with two polarizing parties, investigating the selection of leaders to shift average opinion. Analysis shows the NP-hardness of selecting leaders to change average opinion and proposes a greedy algorithm for approximating the optimal solution. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm in both random and real-world networks.
