Normal spirometry prediction equations for the Iranian population

Summary: This study aimed to establish normative spirometric equations in a healthy population of Iranian children and adults and compare these equations with those developed by the Caucasian Global Lung Initiative for the first time. The results showed that the spirometric values in the Iranian population were not significantly different from those in the Caucasian population. The study recommended using the values and equations generated from this study in routine clinical practice for the diagnosis and assessment of pulmonary disorders.
