Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the impact of lifestyle self-management strategies and interventions on the quality of life and disability of individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS). The results showed that multicomponent self-management interventions, multimodal delivery methods, and cognitive behavioural theory principles were key factors in improving the quality of life for MS patients.

Navigating dietary advice for multiple sclerosis

Summary: This study explored the experiences of adults with MS in navigating dietary advice, their attitudes towards making dietary decisions, and their needs for dietary resources and education. The findings indicated that people with MS are highly motivated to make dietary changes and improve their health. The self-determination theory was used to explain why individuals with MS make dietary modifications and their varying levels of motivation.

The study found that both high- and low-dose vitamin D supplements did not have a significant effect on relapse rate and disability in MS patients during treatment.
