Summary: A diverse medical workforce is important for patient care, and dermatology, as the second-least diverse medical specialty in the United States, needs to address this issue. Including more international medical graduates in residency programs can help improve diversity and eliminate disparities in dermatological care delivery.

Summary: This study investigated the differences in research productivity between international medical graduates (IMGs) and US medical graduates (USMGs) in neurosurgery residency, and found that the research work of IMGs exceeded program directors' expectations. Although IMGs make up a small percentage of trainees, they contribute significantly to the published neurosurgical literature in the US.
