Method for extracting pigment characteristic spectra from the phytoplankton absorption spectrum

Summary: In this study, a method based on the one-dimensional discrete wavelet transform (DWT) was proposed to extract the pigment characteristic spectra of phytoplankton. DWT and derivative analysis were applied simultaneously to the phytoplankton absorption spectra of 6 phyla (Dinophyta, Bacillariophyta, Haptophyta, Chlorophyta, Cyanophyta, and Prochlorophyta) to verify the effectiveness of DWT in the extraction of pigment characteristic spectra.

Residual image recovery method based on the dual-camera design of a compressive hyperspectral imaging system

Summary: This paper proposes a residual image recovery method using a dual-camera design to improve the reconstruction quality of hyperspectral images. By combining the information from an additional camera and the measurements from a coded aperture snapshot spectral imaging (CASSI) sensor, the proposed method significantly enhances the reconstruction quality compared to state-of-the-art algorithms.

Adaptive local sparse representation for compressive hyperspectral imaging

Summary: This paper proposes a reconstruction method for dual-camera CASSI system, which learns an adaptive dictionary with RGB observation and uses RGB observation to guide the selection of the adaptive dictionary for each local image patch. Experimental results show that the proposed method can greatly improve the reconstruction quality, especially the reconstruction of the details, and reduce the reconstruction time compared with past dictionary-based reconstruction methods.
