Combinatorial Polyacrylamide Hydrogels for Preventing Biofouling on Implantable Biosensors

Doreen Chan et al.

Summary: In this study, a combinatorial library of polyacrylamide-based copolymer hydrogels was created to discover and evaluate novel anti-biofouling materials. It was found that certain nonintuitive copolymer compositions exhibit superior anti-biofouling properties over current gold-standard materials.

Enhanced room-temperature magnetoresistance of hybrid graphene nanosheets produced by a laser-assisted process

Songlin Yang et al.

Summary: The challenges in commercializing spintronic devices are addressed by developing hybrid graphene nanosheets using the MAPLE technique, which exhibit magnetoresistance (MR) phenomenon at low magnetic fields and room temperature. These findings suggest that graphene-based materials have potential for spintronic device applications.
