This paper studies the propagation of optical solitons in optical fibers, using the improved modified extended tanh-function method to obtain various types of analytical solutions.
Many mathematical models describe the optical solitons propagation through optical fibers such as nonlinear Schrodinger's equation. In this work, we study the generalized derivative resonant nonlinear Schrodinger equation that encompasses cubic-quintic nonlinearity. Studying is conducted by implementing the improved modified extended tanh-function method which denotes various types of solutions. These solutions including bright solitons, dark solitons, triangular solutions, hyperbolic solutions, Jacobi elliptic functions solutions, exponential solutions and Weierstrass elliptic doubly periodic solutions. The extracted solutions confirmed the efficacy and strength of the current technique. To illustrate the physical characteristics of the established solutions, some selected solutions are visually depicted.
