Application of fractional derivatives in a Darcy medium natural convection flow of MHD nanofluid

Mumtaz Khan et al.

Summary: This study computationally assesses the boundary layer flow and heat transfer behavior of fractional Maxwell viscoelastic nanofluid and their hybrids over a permeable vertical surface, taking into account the effects of Lorentz and buoyancy forces. The study models the flow problem with novel distributed order time fractional derivatives in order to control the flow and heat transfer. The results show that the heat transfer rate increases by 56.51% with an increase in the thermal Grashof number, and an increase in nanoparticles volume fraction enhances the thermal conductivity. The graphical analysis demonstrates the effects of flow characteristics on velocity and temperature fields. The involvement of novel distributed fractional order derivatives and nanoparticles enhances the importance of the simulated results for effectively controlling thermal engineering issues.

A significant assessment of two unequal classes of chemical reaction for the incompressible flow

Mumtaz Khan et al.

Summary: This article numerically investigates the time-dependent fractional non-Newtonian fluid model on a vertical plane in a Darcy medium. A generalized Scott-Bliar model is employed to control the flow and mass transfer in the boundary layer region. The analysis shows that the fractional exponent significantly affects the concentration of chemical species and provides insights into the chemical process in the fractional Casson fluid model.

Performance of magnetic dipole contribution on ferromagnetic non-Newtonian radiative MHD blood flow: An application of biotechnology and medical sciences

G. Dharmaiah et al.

Summary: This study numerically investigates the flow of ferromagnetic liquid blood with Casson flow over a stretching region. The domain is influenced by radiation, blood flow velocity, and thermal slip conditions. The governing equations for the impenetrable magneto-dynamic liquid are reduced to ordinary differential equations (ODEs) using the similarity translation technique. The ODEs are then solved using a fourth-order R-K scheme.

Transient rotating three-dimensional flow of micropolar fluid induced by Riga plate: Finite element approach

Liaqat Ali et al.

Summary: This study assessed the boundary layer flow of micropolar fluid induced by the Riga plate. The significance of the flow is conducted from a rotating frame of perspective to ensure consistency for enhanced thermodynamics across the Riga plate for fluid flow. The Riga plate is a familiar operator consisting of stably deployed magnetic and electrostatic elements that produce Lorentz force in an alternative way that substantially reduces with distance from the Riga plate.

Numerical analysis of nonlinear time-fractional fluid models for simulating heat transport processes in porous medium

Mumtaz Khan et al.

Summary: In this study, a novel fractional constitutive relationship for buoyance-driven flow and heat transfer in hybrid nanomaterials was developed to control the flow and heat transfer behavior. SiO2/MoS2 hybrid nanoparticles with different mass ratios were employed in water as the base fluid. The results showed that increasing the thermal fractional parameter enhanced the heat transfer rate, and the combination of two nanoparticles in water significantly contributed to heat transfer. Thermal radiation also played a significant role in heat transfer in fluid flow.

The heat transfer effects of MHD slip flow with suction and injection and radiation over a shrinking sheet by optimal homotopy analysis method

C. N. Guled et al.

Summary: This study investigates the laminar flow of a boundary layer using a porous surface shrinking exponentially under various factors such as a magnetic field, suction/injection, radiation, and velocity and thermal slips. Nonlinear differential equations were solved analytically using the homotopy analysis method. The results show good agreement with the available literature, especially in the case of the skin friction coefficient. The study presents an analytic solution for the laminar incompressible MHD boundary layer flow on an exponentially electrically conducting porous shrinking surface and discusses the effects of different parameters on velocity and temperature values graphically.

Numerical study of nanoparticles aggregation on radiative 3D flow of maxwell fluid over a permeable stretching surface with thermal radiation and heat source/sink

K. Swain et al.

Summary: This article investigates the effects of thermal radiation and heat source/sink on 3D nanofluid flow over an elongated surface embedded in a porous medium with nanoparticles aggregation. The research findings show that the existence of radiative parameter effects is advantageous for improving heat transmission, and the temperature distribution is enhanced due to the presence of nanoparticles aggregation. These findings provide supportive theoretical tools for future bioengineering and industrial applications.

Optimization of heat transfer nanofluid blood flow through a stenosed artery in the presence of Hall effect and hematocrit dependent viscosity

Madhu Sharma et al.

Summary: The heat transfer rate of MHD nanofluid blood flow through a stenosed composite artery with hematocrit-dependent viscosity and Hall effect is optimized using response surface methodology (RSM). RSM is employed to examine the impact of physical parameters on the response factors of interest and to determine the relationship between the output response variables and the independent input parameters. The effects of different parameters on velocity and temperature along the radial axis are analyzed, and the sensitivity of Nusselt number and shear stress profile is discussed.

Summary: This study focuses on the numerical investigation of fractional viscoelastic models with unsteady convection and Forchheimer medium. By introducing the generalized Scott-Bliar model and Caput-type fractional derivatives, the viscoelastic features and reactions in the constitutive relations are explored. Homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions in the flow domain cause concentration variations, leading to long-lasting chemical species.
