Distributed Observer-Based Robust Fault Estimation Design for Discrete-Time Interconnected Systems With Disturbances

Yunfei Mu et al.

Summary: This article focuses on the distributed robust fault estimation problem for a kind of discrete-time interconnected systems with input and output disturbances. An augmented system is constructed for each subsystem by considering the fault as a special state. A distributed fault estimation observer design scheme that utilizes the associated information among subsystems is presented to reconstruct faults and suppress disturbances. Additionally, a common Lyapunov matrix-based multiconstrained design method is proposed to improve fault estimation performance.

Improved Reachable Set Estimation and Aperiodic Sampled-Data for T-S Fuzzy Markovian Jump Systems

Jianwei Xia et al.

Summary: This article addresses the problems of reachable set estimation and aperiodic sampled-data controller design for fuzzy Markovian jump systems with bounded disturbance inputs. Sufficient conditions for all states to be encompassed by ellipsoids under zero initial conditions are obtained. The design of the state feedback aperiodic sampled-data controller takes into account the reachable set estimation. The presented approach is validated through nonlinear models.

Functional Interval Observer for Discrete-Time Switched Descriptor Systems

Jun Huang et al.

Summary: This article investigates functional interval observer based estimation methods for discrete-time switched descriptor systems with disturbances. A functional observer is presented using the H-infinity formalism, and then a zonotope-based approach is applied to estimate its boundaries with a reduction of observer design constraints. The reachability analysis is combined with the H-infinity technique to design a switched functional interval observer with improved performance.

Observer-based finite-time H-infinity sliding mode control of stochastic nonlinear singular systems and its applications

Huawei Liu et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the finite-time bounded problem for stochastic nonlinear singular systems. A state observer independent of external disturbances and Brownian motions is designed, along with a sliding mode function that ensures both finite-time bounded stability and H-infinity performance of the system. Criteria for the finite-time bounded stability and H-infinity finite-time bounded stability are obtained using Lyapunov function and linear matrix inequalities. The designed controller guarantees the finite-time stability of the sliding mode function, and the practicality of the control scheme is verified through two examples.

Sliding mode control of interval type-2 T-S fuzzy systems with redundant channels

Zhina Zhang et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the sliding mode control of interval type-2 T-S fuzzy systems and proposes a method using redundant channels for improving data transmission reliability. The paper addresses the challenge of unavailable premise variables and measurement signals for the controller, and synthesizes an implementable sliding mode control law. The paper establishes a model of available measurement output signals and constructs new membership functions for the sliding mode controller. Nonlinear matrix inequalities are derived to ensure system boundedness and the reachability of the sliding surface. A binary genetic algorithm is introduced to solve the nonlinear criteria. A numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

Summary: This article focuses on the admissibility analysis and control synthesis of nonlinear discrete-time singular systems. The study introduces new switched fuzzy systems for type-1 and interval type-2 fuzzy singular systems, and provides a relaxed stability criterion for ensuring system admissibility. Two classes of switched controllers are designed, and criteria are obtained to guarantee admissibility of closed-loop systems.
